Job Title: Warehouse Operator

Shift: 1st Shift 6:00am-2:30pm or 2nd Shift 2:00pm-10:30pm or 3rd shift 10:00pm-6:30am (Shift placement will be based on position availability)
Direct Report: America SCM Group Leader
Type: Full-time; Non-exempt
Compensation: Starting range for qualified candidates is $17.00-$18.15/hr dependent on prior experience in a warehouse environment with performance based step increases up to $20.65 top out (including $2.00/hr night-shift premium) in as early as 6-15 months.
About the Warehouse Operator position
We are looking for a Warehouse Operator to help us ship our products to our customers. Your duties will include ensuring the interminable running of outbound operations, maintaining the level of efficiency and quality, and collaborating with co-workers to help your team achieve high level of productivity.
You should be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards, as well as willingness to learn and improve. We also expect you to be a good team player.
Warehouse Operator responsibilities are:
- Perform all work safely and according to company standards
- Work well with others within the team and
throughout the organization
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the
position
- Occasionally will prepare labels and attach on
each tire before loading according to the SOPs
- Load tires manually on time according to the
loading work sheet (stuffing list) based on the SOPs
- Check both the quantity and quality of tires
according to the loading worksheet
- Bundle tires for particular SKUs before loading
them into the trailer
- Unload tires manually from containers on time
according to the unloading work sheet based on the SOPs
- Effectively communicate the result of loading to
the line leader
- Execute TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) task.
(fault prevention and troubleshooting activities about loading process,
systems and machines)
- Take actions promptly and report to the
supervisor, if any trouble occurs on the site
- Keep the work processes according to the labor
safety laws, regulations and SOPs
- Operators must have the ability to operate a
forklift and the job knowledge to stag, prepare and load the tires
- Perform other duties as
assigned
Warehouse Operator requirements are:
Education:
- (Required) Equivalent combination of education and experience
- (Preferred) High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience:
- (Preferred) 1 year warehouse experience
- (Preferred) Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Good command of written and spoken English
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; to reach with hands and arms; and to talk and hear
- Must be capable of climbing up and down a ladder/stairs several times per shift
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time
- Mobility throughout the facility
- Employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, or crouch
- Employee must lift and/or move up to 55 pounds unassisted on occasion
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus
